Shopping for a Staging Project – Living Room/Den ideas

Arrangement #1:

I was out pre-shopping for a Staging Project yesterday and ran across this living room arrangement.  What do you think of this one?  Print side chair with matching pillows, another print chair with matching ottoman and pillows and a very neutral sofa.  Nice neutral area rug and lamps with brown bases and white shades.    Note when staging a home we want to keep things pretty neutral and throw in a pop of color accent….I think I would eliminate the two pillows that match the ottoman and add a couple of solid black or deep brown throw pillows to match the lamps.  (Furniture is from Hoffer Furniture in Houston)

Arrangement #2:

This arrangement is from another vendor.  Still neutral without so much print.  Lightly accented with aqua.  The area rug is very fluffy and a cream color.   In staging the living area in the home I would probably eliminate one of the chairs to allow for more space in the room.   We like to open up the area to allow the potential buyer to feel the space in the room.   Note only one picture and no drapes help the potential buyer to really see the size of the room yet the utility of the space.  Comment below with your thoughts.  (Furniture is from Cort Furniture Rental in Houston)

Arrangement #3:

This arrangement has neutral colored furniture with a bit more color added in the accents.   Note the artwork and the throw pillows and one chair with the yellow green color.   I would possibly not use the drapes although with them open as they are they don’t take away from the size of the room.  The room feels open and roomy.   Aqua and the yellow green are very popular today.   The pictures at eye level draw the eye to the slatted wall feature.  (Furniture is from Rooms to Go)

If you were the potential home buyer which arrangement would draw your eyes to the size of the room, the warmth and quality of the home and its features.

Note your thoughts in the comments.  Remember this is for staging not necessarily for living…however the buyers might like the arrangement so much that they buy it!
